User Reviews about AmazonBasics 4.7 GB 16x DVD+R (100-Pack Spindle) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]
I have used Fuji, Memorex, Maxell and now Amazon. I average 200+ movies per year. The Amazon are as good as the Maxell and Fuji and better than Memorex. So far I've not had any platters, but then I always use +R's and burn at 4x speed for best video quality. There is plenty of room on the disc to write your label. The packaging is well done. As for shipping Amazon double boxed. Since I live in the boonies, anytime I can purchase a good product and have it delivered to my door cheaper than going to town, I'll buy it. -- Are They Good?
Product has great write speed and pretty good reliability for video burning. Not a bad product and its cheap which is why I bought it in the first place. -- Good blank dvd
These disks burn at 16x every time on MacBook Pro.
I have not had a disk failure yet, and I have had no problems transferring the media to computer computers and DVDs play in my sony DVD player.
Pros: exactly as described, 16x, no failures, works in DVD player, WOW what a value
Cons: I really prefer non-branded white topped disks
Please note this is DVD+R, it will work on dual layer (DVD-DL, DVD9) and DVD+R burners, and it will not work on DVD-R burners.
For people having errors burning, I strongly recommend using another program or computer for a test burn. On macs try using your Disk Utility to burn a file to see if it works. On a PC try professional tool, such as Nero. Also burners go bad, if every disk you touch fails,.... chances are it's not the disks, but your computer.
-- Great value
I use dvd's alot, and have used many different brands, sony, fuji, memorex, etc. and these little suckers do the just the same. Quality is wonderful, and the price is very adequate. -- Equivelant to the the big names
